Shenk's Advisory Committee
Shenk board meeting january 12
The Yeshiva Community Shul Advisory Committee is the central place of governance for our Shul. The President, who is nominated and elected by the community each year, chairs this committee. The committee is made up of people who are heads of committees for events, kiddushim, eruv and various other organs of our community. The purpose of this committee is to discuss the ongoing functions of our shul, and work out ways to best serve our community, and advise the Rabbi and periodically Yeshiva University about the wants and needs of our congregation. The committee also sets the price for the dues, heads the search committee for any clerical openings as they arrive, and acts as the intermediaries between the members and the Rabbi.
While our community is young, and the Advisory Committee has not had a great deal of time to work for our community, we aim to meet once a month and are very willing to discuss any issues that any members have. We also welcome any members, at the discretion of the Rabbi and the President, to attend a period of the meeting to address an issue.
