Security At Shenk
]YU has initiated a new security policy requiring photo ID to enter every YU building, including the Shenk Shul. All congregants will be required to show a photo ID to the security guard for Friday night, Shabbat morning and Shabbat afternoon services. Additionally, the security booth outside of Shenk will be expanded, with a security guard standing by the front entrance. There will be a community member with the security guard if one does not hold by the eruv, forget their ID or have a guest with them. Please click here to see a teshuva from Rabbi Herschel Schachter on the classification ID cards not being muktza on Shabbat and Yom Tov.
If you attended any YU school for undergraduate or graduate studies, you are able to apply for an alumni card which can be used as your photo ID. Click here for the application and bring the completed form to the Wilf security office.
